BMI
Bin Business Class
bmi has introduced an economy
only cabin on flights across their UK and Ireland
network from London Heathrow. This means that economy
seats will be the only option on these routes as
the separate business class cabins have been removed.
You can still take advantage of the same benefits
as if flying business class such as; the use of
the bmi business lounges, guaranteed seating at
the front of the aircraft, complimentary food and
drink onboard but with the lower economy rate air
passenger duty (APD) charge, by purchasing a fully
flexible economy ticket.
Avis
Add Fee for Non Cancel
Avis are charging customers
who fail to cancel their car rental bookings. A
fee of £40 if the car is not collected within
24 hours of the time and date booked. If you have
to cancel an Avis car rental booking, then please
contact a member of your TMG Corporate team.

Chiltern
Rail to Rev Up
Chiltern Railways has invested
£250m to create a new main line from Marylebone
Station in London to Oxfordshire and the Midlands.
The money will be used to upgrade the existing route
resulting in faster trains reducing current journey
times by an average 20%. Also a brand new line will
be built to Oxford, the first new link from London
to a major British city since 1910.

Fully Flat Flights for CO
Continental Airlines is to
increase the number of flights between London and
New York, and says that all aircraft serving Heathrow
will feature its new fully flat bed in business
class from June.
The carrier will add a fourth daily flight on March
27, followed by a fifth on October 30. The new services
will take Continental’s daily offering out
of Heathrow to seven flights, including its twice-daily
service to Houston.

Hand
Baggage Policy
- Following the recent introduction of revised security
arrangements for all travelling into the USA, British
Airways wants to reiterate its hand baggage policy
for passengers in all cabins.
World Traveller and World Traveller
Plus passengers to the USA from Heathrow
and Gatwick will continue to take only one item
of hand luggage. Club World and First
passengers from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City
are now able to take the normal two bag hand luggage
allowance.
Customers travelling to destinations outside the
United States or from the United States are not
affected.
Cabin Crew Strike Update - although the December
BA cabin crew strike was averted, a new strike ballot
is currently underway with the decision due on 22
February 2010. Hopefully this dispute can be resolved
without the need for strike action but if not, it
is rumoured that disruption could go ahead from
early March 2010. TMG Corporate will keep you updated
with any developments as they happen.
