British
Airways Cabin Crew Strike confirmed.
The
Unite Union has this morning, Friday March 12th,
announced that a strike by British Airways cabin
crew will take place for 3 days from March 20th
and 4 days from March 27th.
Flight
rebooking: If
you are due to fly during the strike dates and would
prefer to change your plans then you can rebook
your seats to dates outside of the strike, subject
to availabilty, for a period of up to 355 days from
your original planned travel date. Please contact
your TMG account team for assistance.
Flight
cancellations: British Airways will only
provide refunds if your flight is cancelled or if
your orginal ticket booking conditions allow. Your
TMG account team will make contact with any travellers
whose flights are cancelled.
British
Airways are putting in place contingency plans to
attempt to minimise disruption to the travelling
public and currently state that:
- All
flights from London City Airport will operate
as normal
- All
long-haul flights from Gatwick will operate as
well as around half of short haul flights
- A
'substantial proportion' of Heathrow long haul
flights will operate and a 'good number' of short
haul flights will also operate
We
await further news from British Airways as to exact
details of which flights will be cancelled. Once
specific details are known we will contact all affected
travellers to provide options and confirm travel
plans.
Should
you have any questions or queries whatsoever relating
to the British Airways cabin crew strike then please
do not hesitate to contact your TMG account team
by the usual methods.
