The
next time you need to make a UK rail booking make
sure that you utilise TMG Corporate's online rail
system for the best fares and most efficient booking
process.
A
great deal of time has been invested into the
tailoring of our online rail system and we are
delighted to see an ever increasing number of
bookers utilising it to make their train bookings.
We
are constantly striving to improve all of our
online booking tools and are pleased to announce
a number of improvement to the rail system, both
at the front and back end.

Potential
cost savings from buying two single tickets rather than
a return fare have been made much clearer. Management
reports can now show the mileage your company uses by
rail journey and carbon values which are compared to
alternate forms of transport, vital for a company's
Corporate Social Responsibility policy. Authorised users
are able to run these reports online so they are available
at the touch of a button rather than having to wait
for an email.
To
book your rail through our online booking tool then
visit https://tmg.evolvi.co.uk,
if you would like to be set up s a new user please contact
your TMG Account team.
For further information on our online
rail booking tool and upgrades please contact National
Account Director Ian
Currington.

First
we had online
check-in, soon we will see the introduction of mobile
check-in.
Online check-in at Heathrow alone has doubled in the
past year as of the 100 airlines serving the airport
over half now offer the time saving service. But technology
doesn't stop there mobile phone check-in will enable
airlines to send, via SMS, a 2D barcode directly to
your handset. |
 |
The
barcode is your boarding card which will hold all of the
passenger flight information and will be able to be read
directly from the screen of the mobile device reader at
Airport security. All services will be the same as online
check-in so you can book your own seat etc. This will of
course favour business travellers who only have hand baggage
but for all hold baggage passengers, you will still have
to queue at the fast bag drop along with everyone else!
Some airlines have already started to implement mobile check-in
but without the 2D barcode. Instead passengers are sent
an SMS text message with details on to access their boarding
pass via the self service desks at the airport the same
as online check-in. These airlines include KLM, Air France,
SAS, Air Canada and Delta. Please ask a member of your TMG
Corporate team for further information.
TMG Corporate
will of course keep you up to date with any mobile check-in
progression.
Want
to check in online? visit our
check-in pages and select your airline.

The
one-bag
restriction has been lifted at a number of UK airports
these include Birmingham, Heathrow, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh,
London City, Manchester and Southampton.
Importantly,
Luton and Gatwick Airports have not had the restriction
lifted as of yet.
We do though strongly advise that you check with a member
of your TMG Corporate team before you fly as a number
of airlines are continuing to restrict the number of bags
which can be carried in to the cabin. Size limits on liquids
and cabin baggage still apply.
