Cost
effective
long term accommodation...
If
your company requires long term accommodation
on a regular basis, then maybe a serviced
apartment would be a more cost effective
option than hotels.
Available throughout the UK, serviced apartments
are alternatives to hotel rooms offering
spacious self-contained fully furnished
units with all amenities as in your own
home.
Employees
on a long term project for example, may
prefer a home-from-home nvironment. Let's
face it the choice of food on a hotel menu
can start to become quite uninspiring after
day three as well as expensive when all
you fancy is cheese on toast in front of
the TV after a long hard day. Serviced apartments
give you the flexibility of catering for
yourself which can help keep costs down
for your company as avoiding hotel extras
such as mini bars, room service and restaurant
prices.
Since
the downturn in the economy, demand for
serviced apartments has dropped which is
good news for companies requiring a long
term accommodation solution as there are
more deals available and shorter stays than
normally accepted are being welcomed, again
at lower rates.
Next
time you look to book a long stay, then
ask for serviced apartment rates and see
how much it could save your company.
The
time saving symbol...
If
you have recently renewed your British passport,
you may have noticed a picture under the
wording PASSPORT on the front cover. This
is not just a bit of artwork to fill up
an empty space, but the recognised symbol
for an ePassport.
ePassport
gates have been introduced to many UK airports
and the idea behind them is to allow British
Passport holders to bypass immigration queues.
The gates each have a machine that scans
your passport. There is also a camera that
compares your face to your photo which explains
why when having your passport photo taken,
it has to be so precise. The symbol is a
chip that contains all of your passport
information required for this process. Once
all details are matched, the gates open
for you to proceed.
Next
time you travel, check the front cover of
your passport as you could save yourself
so much time on return to the UK.
